New hat for me

I decided that I wanted to make myself a new hat for this year. I went with a pattern that I know I like from Moogly Blog. It can be found at Free Pattern: All Grown Up Striped Slouch Hat (mooglyblog.com) I chose grey and black, since those are the colors I found when I […]

Baby hats

A friend asked me to make hats, booties and lovies for a set of twins she knows. I started with the hats. I couldn’t find a pattern I liked, so I found some place to start, and from there decided to just wing it. I had to make the crown of both hats at the […]

Owl Crochet Along

I’ll come back and add more pictures after. I saw something on Facebook about an Owl Crochet along through Yarnspirations, and thought it looked interesting. The first part of it was posted on Thursday, but I’m not starting on it until today (Saturday). I’ll probably have to finish the first lesson this evening, as my […]

Baby afghans

I have quite a few different things I need to be crocheting for this fall. My husband’s cousin is getting married (well, his second cousin), one of his former coworkers is having a baby. I also had 2 weddings on my side of the family earlier this summer. I didn’t get anything done for them, […]

A bit late, but my Halloween wreath

So we have been decorating for the seasons at work. I had seen the pattern for this wreath on Ravelry and decided I wanted to do it. I love how it turned out. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/winne-halloween-wreath It was a fairly easy project. The only part that took awhile was the sleeve for the foam wreath core.

No Fuss Fish

The next project I decided to work on was a request from a former coworker. Since I’ve been just repeating the dishcloths and towel toppers, I thought that it would be nice to take a break and work on something else. My friend/former coworker is a mother of 3, all at 14 months right now. […]

Dish cloths

I still have at least 20 towels to go – 10 towels split in 2 to make a total of 20. To give myself a break, I started on the dish cloths. So far, I prefer to crochet them instead of knitting. It took me much less time. But I have more experience in crochet. […]

Towel Toppers

I made plans to start on the towel toppers last week, but then back to school started. I forgot that there is a lot that I needed to do, like shopping for school supplies. Then all the regular back to school meetings and a fundraiser for Blue Star Mothers, and I didn’t get a chance […]

Ripple Afghan complete

The first incomplete project is now complete. I had second thoughts about the colors, but it didn’t turn out too bad. The pattern I used is http://www.handcraftingwithlove.net/yarn/pat-ripple.html I started out by finding a variegated yarn that I liked, and then I matched three colors to that yarn.  The coral isn’t quite a match, but it is […]

Projects galore

I’ve been wanting to start writing more, and I’ve had a lot of crochet and knit projects that are getting forgotten while I’m writing blog posts. I figured it’d be best to combine both and blog about my crochet projects. I’ve got three projects that are started that need to be finished.  I finished a […]
